The wait for the Sony Ericsson Android phone may finally be over. A tweet from their South African account tipped everyone to a teaser announcement on the official Sony Ericsson site.
Mark your calendars for November 3 if you have been waiting on the Xperia Android phone. Project Rachael is the name given to Sony Ericsson’s custom UI for Android. We first saw Rachael back in July, but few details have leaked since then.
The Sony Ericsson phone has been called the Xperia X3/X10 and is rumored to be an absolute beast.
Highlights of the device include:
- Android 2.0 with custom Rachael UI
- 1 GHz Snapdragon platform
- 8.1 megapixel camera w/ touch focus, smile shutter, face detection, ISO settings
- 4.1 inch OLED capacitive display
- 32 GB internal storage

Update (10/26): AndroidGuys posted a blurry video which reveals a sales brochure for the new device.
